About Me

TJ Hock has been an avid reader since Mrs. Walsh read Misty of Chincoteague to her 3rd grade class back in… Well, let’s just say it was a while ago.  It didn’t take long for her to realize that she loved mysteries the best.

She grew up reading Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys mysteries and loved them, but her very favorite mystery heroine growing up was Trixie Belden.  Trixie and her brothers and friends started a club called The Bob-Whites and solved mysteries, very similar to Nancy and her friends and Joe and Frank and their friends.

Check out Trixie and her friends:

Teri soon moved on from Nancy and Trixie to Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot. (Just in case a non-mystery fan stumbled onto this site by mistake these are characters in books by Agatha Christie.) And Then There Were None, Murder on the Orient Express and At Bertram’s Hotel are three favorites.

Teri found she couldn’t wait to start earning money so she could buy books and unfortunately (for her, not her favorite authors) that vice continues today.  Authors who write series books are her biggest downfall.  When she found a new author to follow Teri quickly flew through the paperbacks and found she couldn’t wait until the new release came out in paperback.  So of course, she had to buy the hardcover.  And buying hardback books is habit forming.

Teri is often found recommending authors and good books to other readers.  Be sure and check out her blog while you are here for some great reads.
